Re: Obsolete gun part suppliers

Jackfirst came thru for me a couple of times, in fact in one case S&W actually referred me to them. Fair prices and excellent service. Also if you are really interested in having knowledge in your hands they have a great set of parts books!

I have a M94 Swede that was chopped when imported in 68 (the damage was already done) . I've put a boyds stock on it and had it recrowned but I am half as old as the rifle and need a little "optical" help. I plan to get an S & K mount but I don't want to hang a piece of glass on it that is worth 2x ...

With all the global warming here in Michigan it's all I can do to go to work. I was supposed to take a "new" shooter out 6 weeks ago but it's just been too darn cold. There is hope, the days are getting longer and the "honey do" list is getting shorter.....

The last GS I went to my wife was shopping for her carry gun, which was also her wedding present. She she had an idea of what she wanted and worked with my principle "if it doesn't feel right, don't buy it" . 1k later with an EMP in hand she is shooting excellent groups. GS prices are variable, got ...

That was the right way to do the grip mod. By using the bushings and screws you made it much easier to tear the pistol down for maintenance. Gluing on the grips would have made accessing the pins more difficult. I took the "th" out of your URL to make the photos a little easier to see. Those thumbn...

I got my brothers friend who not only had a mill but it a pretty doggone good machinist, though I had been prepared to do it myself. On his advice I went a little further and tapped the grips for the 1911 bushings. http://i834.photobucket.com/albums/zz263/99-100/22_45_R.jpg?t=1299806888 http://i834....

The founding fathers feared "Mob Rule" most when considering how best to set up our Democratic-Republic. I think we're witnessing the wisdom of their concerns today. I feel for those folks out there in Wisconsin. Back when the Health Care debate was running, the Dems told the minority to go sit dow...
