First it was the trigger failing to reset. Then the take-down lever coming out. When I finally got the pistol back from S&W after the second trip (a new gun) the laser wouldn't work. I was able to remove the laser buttons and rotate them and got the laser working. My next step was to take the pistol...

There's suddenly a rash of reports of the take-down lever popping out of the BG380 during firing, especially during rapid fire. Some people have had their guns back at the factory twice for this problem and S&W seems to be clueless about the problem and fixing it. Mine just got back from S&W after t...

I'm not ready to demand my money back yet. Like new cars, newly introduced firearms have troubles too. Look at the previous recalls from Ruger, S&W and Remington. It just happens. I'll keep working with this Bodyguard 380 and send it back as often as I have to. I'll want to run about 500 rounds thro...

Sorry can't post a review. My trigger mechanism broke on the second shot and I'm waiting to send it back to S&W for repairs. Win some, lose some.

Whenever I had problems with my Rugers I would switch over to CCI Mini-Mags and never had a single problem after that. Seems they like good quality hot ammo.

Hands down it's one of my pair of S&W model 41s. My next choice for a favorite .22 would be my S&W model 617, 10 shot, 8 3/8" bbl.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm going to enjoy it here. Here's the link I was looking for from the S&W forum on second round feeding:

Apologies for reviving such an old post but I'm a new member and am just now looking things over. The solution to your problem is to put a drop of oil on the nose of the first cartridge in every magazine, or you can wipe the first round down with a slightly oily patch. This problem was recently disc...
