Colt Industries

I read on Fox news that Colt Industries is bankrupt, and for sale.
Bummer.

That sounds like a good project. Regarding magnets - If you can find an old vacuum tube type radio somewhere, they usually have tremendously strong magnets on the back side of the speaker.

Unfortunately, there is no limit to stupid.
Ignorance can be fixed.
Stupid is forever.

I think the need for SD firearm is much greater today than at anytime before.
It's been said before but "I can't run, can't fight, and I'm too darned old to take a whuppin'"

Are they scaled down enough that Single-Six holsters would fit? Even so, I guess holster makers aren't thinking of someone CCW-ing a SA revolver. I dunno, but that sure would be a good thing to check. Holsters are available. Check with some of the vendor that advertise with SASS. I make my own as I...

I have to agree with Charlesb- except mine is a Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt.
Its not at all difficult to carry concealed and I have more Bang time with it that any other handgun I own.
I carried a .40 XDM for a while, and it wasn't any easier to conceal.
Just my 2 cents

Way back in the 1950s (I actually remember some of that time) there were trials in the U.S. of so-called "communist conspirators" Lots of them had been 'Blacklisted' by the U.S. Govt. A group of lawyers (liberal ones) formed to defend these folks in the courts. Short story is that the current Americ...

Just a thought about carts. SASS (cowboy action shooting) shooter all use carts. That's basically a cowboy (western) themed program resembling 3-gun (pre-1895 style guns), so they carry lots of different stuff. Check out their website for links to carts. Many are home made (well done too) but there ...

Weather

After this weekend, I was just wondering if anybody out there has done any studies about how much windage, and which direction to allow for if one were shooting through a tornado.
Several small ones in this area over the weekend in west central MO.

Wish you had sent it a little more North from there. Here in West Central MO it dropped from almost 50 on Fri, to about +2F this evening.
So much for springtime.

Good Job.
One of my favorite things is to clean up, restore and "old ugly" and make it presentable and useful again.
Several in my safe are such items.
In fact for the most part, I'd rather bring back an old one like that than buy a new one.

Enjoy your days off. Last fall, I moved from S.E. WA state to west central MO. (Clinton,MO) I grew up in this area in the 50s. Sort of 'going home' for me. However, it has been warmer, and dryer in S.E. WA. all winter than it has here. Maybe should have waited for spring to move??? So far this seaso...
