Re: Williams Fire Sights, almost
Unfortunately retirement age is a few years off for me. You guys make it sound bad. I know I am too busy to ever "retire", just to much crap going on, or can I say shit going on? Anway I am new to the forum thing, only on one other and it's been a struggle. Back to the retirement thing, I have a pla...

Re: Over sized/tactical bolt knob?
Never thought about the movie angle. Makes sense though. SALES Again my ex-father-in-law bought one of the original savage scout rifles and it had this huge bolt knob on it. He and I were really unimpressed with it, just didn't see an advantage to it. My thoughts (even from a tactical standpoint ) i...

Re: Howa 1500
I have had pretty good luck in the past with howa rifles. Everyone of them a hunting rifle and everyone of the shot around an inch to an inch and a half, with premium ammo (100 yrds). You have a very nice looking rifle there, and with the shorter barrel I'm guessing it'll be somewhat more maneuverab...

Over sized/tactical bolt knob?
Just curious if anyone has any real world experience with these things? I have been using 700's for over 20 years now, in a lot of different applications. The huge bolt knob seem to be a growing trend. With any trend I usually like to here what REAL people have to say about them before I make a deci...

Re: Ruger LC9s
I use an inside the pant holster for my LC9 and I feel very comfortable with the firearm carried in such a manor. It is an almost every day carry gun for me. The days I don't carry it I find that LCP to be a fantastic pocket carry. I am pretty happy with all the pistols ruger has come up with since ...

Re: Rem Bolt Handle Saga
Being that I am a 700 fan, I will definitely record this information. Though I have never had this happen, or even seen this happen, this is not the first time I have heard of it. I hate when anything bad happens to any firearm, regardless of manufacturers, but really hate when it happens to 700's.

Re: Sight picture
Great thread Bullseye, When I started shooting a few years ago, our coach made us shoot on blank white paper without any bull. I beleive it reinforced some good qualities in us, like proper stance, sight alignment & trigger release. In his words, Sight Alignment is more important than Sight picture...
