Very nice. I don't know why more rifles don't come with an aperture sights, even a basic peep is a big improvement on open sights.

Thanks!

I have to pull another 12 hour shift on Thursday, but I'll get home to a smoked turkey, hopefully.

To everyone: Enjoy your family time and the time to relax/reflect.

(And maybe think of me for a moment when your lights still go on at the flip of a switch - it's a modern miracle!)

We'll all get off your lawn now. Good for you on making that guy's screw-up memorable. You probably got that lesson to stick better than you would have by being polite. If anyone else needing the same instruction hammered home was in earshot, you probably saved them future embarrassment. Hot range /...

I'm more irritated that American Rifleman & First Freedom have so many redundant articles.

I thought AR would be hardware/training/sporting stuff, with FF more political.
Wrong.

Not cheap, but not unattainable

This one was $525

At least I don't have to buy mags!

Nice!

I'll never understand the trend of stainless wheel guns, that looks like a revolver should.

Took all the takedown rimfires to the range, for side-by-side comparison. Browning has the best trigger and worked with all ammo from CCI quiet to Remington yellowjacket. Sights are workable indoors in crappy light. Would be better in daylight. Lack of detachable mags is mildly annoying, but I have ...

I'm figuring on sticking to irons, at least for now - this one is tapped for the barrel scope mount, perhaps a small optic of some kind might end up on it someday. Thanks for the tips on the feed system, I'll avoid heavily-waxed rounds and make sure to lube up that cartridge guide. It sounds like mi...

I've seen the headline here and there for a few days, but never followed through and actually watched.

I'm more impressed that he pulled that off with a scoped bolt gun than anything else! I'd assumed it was a semiauto or maybe a lever gun before.

Handles naturally like a 1911 or 1903 (or most JMB designs - the man understood ergonomics!)

Somehow, through voodoo or other arcane arts, feeds rounds OVER the bolt in that bitty receiver.

New toy - Browning SA22

I rarely get excited about a new gun enough to post about it. But... I managed to snag a nice example of the "other" semiautomatic takedown 22lr gun. A rather nice example of a SA-22, Japanese manufactured, just the basic engraving around the border of the receiver. The John Moses Browning design lo...

The last one was a space terlet that happened to be at the Smithsonian - I should have received 6/10

Pretty!

The MSRP caused some involuntary puckering, though.

I think I'll stick to my savage24 and mossberg500 for now.

I may try harder to replicate the malfunction, actually. I'll send 'em both in once the initial wave goes through, I suppose. Apparently now that SAinc has a fix, they're tossing a spare big mag in the return package as an apology - which is a start. If they tossed in a few boxes of ammo, I'd be muc...

if you don't mind being my guinea pig, I would really appreciate a report on your trigger pull and what changes with it.

Both of mine are still sitting in the safe in a box ready to ship. I have been unable to replicate the malfunction Springfield describes (using dummy rounds, of course).
