Re: Need advice about reloading.

I use a single stage press with Lee dies and load with 3.5 gr. of Bullseye powder for a target load. The bullet is 200 grains and it is accurate.

Re: Difference?

Another difference is that a Mark I has a nine shot capacity while a Mark II has ten.

I have one with the long and short barrels - each with a red dot. Best 22 I have ever fired! I wouldn't part with it even though there have been good offers.

I was shooting the gun today with my own bullets and didn't have hardly any keyholes. Will be cleaning the gun tomorrow and checking it according to your advice. Thanks for all your help! Will get back to you.

I'm using hbwc bullets and someone told me that if they are loaded a little too hot, the skirt could flare out and cause destabilation. Could this be true?

Three screw SAA

I have an old model 357 that I love and recently been getting keyholes on my targets. The cylinder locks tight and the muzzle looks OK. I've been shooting 38 wadcutters with it. What else can cause this?

I use the Aquila 40 grain 22's and have no problem with any of my guns. Most of the guys in our Bullseye League use it to their satisfaction.

I might mention that POI will go higher with a heavier bullet.

John fox, what instrument did you use to file the front sight blade, and how much did you file it? My Ruger is SS and I don't want to mess it up or make it look bad. Any and all info will be appreciated. Thanks, gcp 36/1000 according to a formula I use and then touched up the front site. The formul...

I reloaded light loads which should shoot high and still shot low so I filed the front sight down. It has been said on many forums that Ruger has high front sights on purpose so you can modify for your loads.

I have a couple of Vaq's and some Blackhawks in different calibers and just bought a new model "New Vaquero". Had to file down the front site as it was shooting too low. Works good now!

Thanks for sharing. You're a better shooter than I. I couldn't do that even if bench resting.
