I agree with Greener, the younger, on his point but I'd like to add onto it by stating most target shooters tend to adapt easier to the rigors of combat shooting if they practice the techniques. It is true that folks tend to repeat what they practice under stressful situations, this explains why ta...

I've had great reliability with my ppk/s 380acp (no ftfeed/fteject/stovepipes/etc EVER), but I did break the trigger spring a while back and it took some tweaking, fumbling, and fiddling to get the new one to work properly.

well placed 22 might do the job. but in a stressful encounter a not so well placed centerfire is better. a lot of folks who carry and are good to very good shots a lot of times are good TARGET shooters. TARGET shooters load up their pistol take time getting the perfect grip get the perfect sight pic...

I like the grips on that ppk....I had the rubber pachymars on my ppk/s for a bit then went back to the plastic factoy grips but don't really care for them. are those rosewood?

Shooting ANY 22 will make you a better shot with your carry gun. IMhO it removes the tendancy to flinch and drop or pull your shot. A great compramise to shooting 250 rds of centerfire would be to shoot 50 rounds of the big bang stuff and 300 rounds of rimfire... best low budget practice would be if...

Look through Brownells.com, Midwayusa.com, or search for rimfire sports and custom for a different front sight/rear sight. i think ruger sells their target sight as well which I happen to like.http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?p ... ber=519188

it should be easy to switch the sights out...

Some of the ak's can have rough parts maybe a there is a rough spot in the track the bolt rides in... some careful polishing might do the trick.

MY ak does this if I let the bolt closed SLOWLY try letting it slam shut from the fully rearward position.

Re: Dog-gone trouble

The standards to judge if you were leagally justified to shoot 4 or 2 footed threats to your person are the Totality of the Circumstanses and Objective Reasonableness. Totality of the circumstances is just what it sounds like. Objective reasonableness, if the average jo would find your actions reaso...

I've left MOST of my guns the way they came, as they were good to begin with.... I have wrenched my ruger mkii a bit (VQ sear and trigger) which made a really good trigger great, my milspec springfield 1911 (long trigger, extended mag release, houge grips) 'cause it was fun to do, and my savage .22 ...

I'd like either, but would prefer a GP100 in .22.

+1 on that
