I tend to agree with BAOM on this one. I'll just say that not every firearm is stored in the safe. My most vulnerable location to be in the house is in the little "necessary" room, but that is covered too. (It's hard to pull up ones drawers while running toward protection, besides, I can't run anymo...

Right you are Blue. And BAOM too. I have a lee single stage I use for some operations and some loading. Mostly I use the Dillon RL550. I have tool heads set up for each calibre I load. Changeover takes about 10 min. The only primer feed problems I have ever had in several years have been the results...

That. And I think, it gives the powder gasses a channel to erode more lead from the bullet, especially if they are undersize compared to the bore.
Polygonal bores have been around for over 100 years, but not popular (unitl Glock), and probably for good reasons.
Just my thoughts.

Re: New Guy from Pennsylvania.....

Hi Folks, This time last year I had never owned a gun (and I will be 65 in a few months  ). Anyway, I now own 6 and I'm really getting into the target shooting. I've been shooting 1200-1500 rounds per month, but like everything else, the more I learn........the more I realize I know NOTHING :...

check your local hospital lab. All their test tubes (like they use to draw blood) have rubber stoppers. Several different sizes, and they would probably just give you some if asked.

I load 7 different calibers with my 550B. I don't load .223 though, but I really can't see how it would be different from the others to process. ??

As a mechanical function, it would probably work. It is in effect 'cold forging' though, inducing different metal stresses, stretching, and even probably raising a "crater rim" around each chamber that could mess up headspace. Probably only a few thousands but possible. Mostly I would be concerned a...
