Peeps are not food.
Apparently they're targets, maybe I'll spot some on clearance for smaller ballistic testing.
Peeps aren't food because marshmallows are not food, and colored sugar is not food.

There's always some kind of evaluation going on for "the new army rifle" or "the new army handgun", it seems. I think it will take an actual advancement* in materials or ammunition to get a change at this point. There's too much momentum in the "generic issue weapons" category, and a lot of speciali...

I was looking at the specs for the XD/S and didn't see and mention of it being double, or single action. Whatever system it uses, they apparently are not too proud of it, or they would have said something about it. Does that mean that it's set up like a Glock, or maybe it's DAO? The XD, XD(m), and ...

Re: Zip pistol
Why is this a concern with the particular gun? That's how nearly every .22lr autoloader works.superdave wrote:Looks rather interesting, but I'm a little concerned that it is a "blowback" design, and will require 'bullet power' to cycle the action.

By now, some people have got to be stepping over ammo piled in their house. Nope, it is neatly stacked and mostly organized. I may build a throne out of ammo cans just for fun, however. I haven't needed to shop for ammo since last summer, really. I haven't made any purchases since last October exce...

In industrial applications, a boroscope inspection is interesting, but secondary to actual performance. I've found the devices less than useful for predicting operation of equipment (good or bad). And good for you getting your own, I always wonder where the ones I check out from tool issue have been.

I'd like one of the tip-up berettas as a toy, I think the 22short version was the "minx" But without an extractor claw, I'd never trust such a gun for anything more serious than feral cat removal, in 22lr/short or 32acp. Cranking on the slide doesn't clear the gun, I think it would just induce doubl...

hook the front of the rear sights on the edge of your belt, holster, aunt frazzie's antique sideboard etc and push the grip to work the slide, the old 1 handed slide rack. They used to teach that to work the slide if you have an arm incapacitated in a gunfight.... It works on many of my guns, my CC...
