Rear LPA sight on Ruger Bull Barrel
Does anyone use the PSI/LPA TPU SERIES sights on a bull barrel Ruger?
Were you able to use the stock front sight?

Re: LCI cover plate
How about making it out of steel and soldering it in place? Might work better on a S/S model.boltbusterdw wrote:

Thanks Bullseye. I always thought it might be a neat project to undertake. When you talk about the "overall life" of the bedding job, how long can I expect a well-done job to last? What happens when it gets old? Does it crack, or does it start getting loose? How far up the barrel do you typically be...

Glass bedding a rifle
I don't have any experience doing it, however I have read a lot about how to. There sure seems like a lot of different opinions on the subject. What's your technique? What products do you use? Did you notice any increase in accuracy? Did you enjoy doing it? Was it worth the time and energy? I've rea...

You might recognize this then, taken Summer 2004 Wow! That's one of the coolest places I've ever been. Really impressive scenery. If you're willing to hike and camp down into the forest the trees are awesome. It's almost all old growth timber. I believe that Len's the only one here that knows first...

Wow! Good work there! It's cool to see someone work so hard to get a gun exactly how they want it. My parents bought me a Pellet gun when I was about 13. It was a Crosman with a plastic stock. In a few months I had made a wood stock for it. I had even carved basket-weaves into the grips. My parents ...

Re: Hearing protection
Try and find a pair of Peltor Ultimate 10 ear muffs I used those for years in the wood shop. They are excellent, very comfy, very good sound reduction. If you are at a range, more is usually better. You don't know what everyone else will be shooting. If you're shooting alone with a small bore rifle...

Thanks for all the replies. I'm pretty set on the Ruger. Just wanted some other opinions. :) I keep thinking about the weight difference, ease of field stripping/maintenance, and 15 shot capacity in the Kimber(w/ optional magazines, fun for plinking!) Greener: I just don't like the look of the S&W 4...

Choosing a Rimfire Pistol (ruger vs kimber)
Hi Everyone, I have been looking at a Ruger Mark III Target for a while now. I know I'm going to have to put a bit of money into it to get the sights, and trigger feel I want out of it. The last few days another option is lurking in my mind. A Kimber Rimfire. It has the advantage of being a bit ligh...
