Hi Fellas,

Many thanks for all your suggestions. I sincerly appreciate it and please keep those "tips" coming.

I want to get better at this, but progress seems painfully slow.

Hi Fellas, Thanks for the encouragement. I did enjoy myself at the range yesterday as I do every week. However, sometimes I feel I'm not learning anything (improving), but other times things seem to go better. Need more practice I guess. :D Yes I like this target. It is easier to see where I hit an...

I'm Happy!

Hi Gents,

I realize this won't mean much to you experts, but I was pretty pleased at the range today:

This was using my S&W Model 617 with a Millett red dot at 10 yards.

Hi Bullseye, As the founder and administrator of another site/forum (completely different interest/subject) I have watched several spammers register here in the short time I've been a member. Fortunately, they haven't blasted the forum with a bunch of crap. Perhaps you security settings won't let th...

Is the normal :?:

Re: Sub-Sonic Ammo?

What advantage were you looking for? Recoil differences would be minimal between SV and subsonics in a 617. Some .22's do better with slower, heavier ammo that faster and lighter. Generally mine shoot more consistently with SV than HV ammo. Could be as said that the velocity difference wasn't enoug...

Hi Gents,

Thanks for your replies. Up until this time I've not been able to get a reasonable explanation on this subject.

Anyone else?

Sub-Sonic Ammo?

Hi Folks, In regards to .22 hanguns, what is the idea (advantage?) to using sub-sonic ammo? I shot a box of it through my S&W, Model 617 last evening and really could detect much difference when compared to CCI, Standard Velocity. It seems like it (sub-sonic) was a lighter load, but I couldn't detec...

Hi Gents, I also just picked-up a Model 617 the other day and just got back from the range trying it out for the first time. Nice gun indeed, but I must say I would really like to mount a red-dot on it. Do any of you fellows know if there is rail made that would work? The top of the frame is already...
