I'm not well schooled in 'who made what' brands, etc. I have however been using PMC (made in Russia) primers - both large pistol, and small pistol for several different calibers and loads. I started with them during the last "shortage" when it was all I could find in this area. Bottom line, I am sti...

interesting discussion.
Soc. Sec. was designed to be self supporting, and was 'til Congress changed the rule, and transfered all the money to general funds.
So, Hopefully some of you will get better paying jobs so maybe my checks can keep comming.

I didn't intend to sound like I was endorsing the article, It was sent to me in an e-mail. I was just putting it out there. Also, I agree with bgreenea3 re: 'eye-witness" accounts. I spent over 40 years in health care, from Army Medic, to RN, most of it working in ER. As such, I encountered LE folks...

Just was made aware of the article (below) and I have no idea as to the authenticity, but ..its worth at least thinking about.
There seems to be lots of DIS-information flying around in the news.

Reloading .40 isn't any different that other re-loading. Just follow the rules and common sense. It is a high pressure load. Some chambers can cause a very slight bulge near the cartidge head. If that occurs then Redding makes a die that will iron it out easily. It is a push through die that resized...

4-5 years ago, I bought a 581 Remington that was sadly abused over a lot of years. It wa UGly. It is a left hand bolt (the proper side) so I got it hoping it could be cleaned up. As it turned out, the bore and action were great. After a complete strip and reblue and filling holes in the action where...

#1. 100% reliability #2. adequacy of round of choice. #3. Familiarity with the platform. What he said. I have and do carry various handguns. Both revolvers and pistols. Over time, I seem to carry my Springfield XD .40 mostly. So that size, weight and caliber seem to suit me best. Your milage may va...

Ouch! If it was a re-load, he may want to check his loads and/or technique. Or how many times the case was loaded. Lots of maybe's here. What Bullseye said was my first thoughts also. I have a .40 S/W that will sometimes make a very slight bulge at the base because of the feed ramp cutout, but not a...

My kids are gown, and live a long ways away, I'm retired from $$producing work. I do however have hobbies (they mostly go BANG). I also have an old house that I bought for retirement which keeps me busy too. However, I've found that it really doesn't take much to keep me busy anymore! I think that's...

This "CRS" stuff is irritating isn't it Ruger. I've always had this bad quirk of remembering things that don't matter, like some useless fact in a magazine I've just barely glanced at. I'll remember it a month later. Something I try to remember sometimes just won't stick. I guess just so I remember...
