I remember you. Welcome back. Your buddy could get his pistol drilled and tapped, then just pop a weaver rail on. Looking at the design of the pistol, the optic would have to be mounted pretty far forward. Looks to me like balance could become an issue for some. If your buddy has any spare means, I ...

By necessary, I generally mean does it add a capability that the rifle needs. The rifle is just gonna be a plinker/tactical type. The negative I see to putting it on a rifle is it just adds a little bit of weight, and perhaps without much benefit. For example, the jams that you used the FA to clear ...

Forward Assist?

I'm sure there are a bunch of threads about this on AR15.com, but I wanted to ask you guys. Do you think the forward assist is worth it? I've talked to a lot of veterans and long time AR-15 enthusiast, all have said that they never use the forward assist. They all basically cite their experiences th...

Haka, the XDs .45 is AWESOME . The XDs replaced the Kahr CM9 for me (economy PM9). I really didn't like design of the CM9 at all. I was not at all confident in the tiny amount of steel in the slide rails, I consider the striker block very weak compared to most other modern pistols, the mags didn't d...

Assault Weapons Ban of 2013 intro'd, WRITE YOUR REPS

Hey guys, Yesterday Feinstein formally launched her assault on liberty by introducing her new "assault weapons ban," which as you know, would not only ban AR-15s, but a WIDE range of firearms. The ultimate goal of this type of legislation is to disarm the citizen; just look what happen in NY. It is ...

We should ban all sports cars because there's no need to go faster than 55 MPH! Any cars with aluminum ralleye wheels and a rear deck spoiler must be banned. After all, those wheels can be changed much more rapidly as compared to their traditional hubcap laden vehicle mates. R, Bullseye If it saves...

According to what I read, NY police are not limited to the 7 rounds: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/01/18/ny-guv-looks-to-clarify-gun-law-after-concern-about-exemption-for-police/ Poor drafting didn't explicitly exempt LEOs, but a later clarification was given. If the "spirit" of the legislati...

Yeah, slim pickin's over here too, greener.

I went by the local Bass Pro Shops here and they were picked over. Only had bolt guns, a few 1911s, and some wheel guns.

100% agree BFD. Keep on letting Congress know how you feel. Also, if any of you guys can make it to your state capital this Saturday for the "Guns Across America" rally, please do so. We need people out there, and being very nice and well spoken, all of you guys are the best people to have out there...

I have been trying to do some google-fu to get to the bottom of this, I see no reports from a legit news organization (if there is such a thing) that confirms or deny this at the time of this posting. If these initial reports on the net are true, it seems clear that they caved to the administration ...

I agree, bg, if one is arguing against something they should learn the nomenclature. However, the anti-self defensers don't care, the only thing they care about is disarming law-abiding Americans. After all, an "assault weapon" is a term that congress just made up one day (presumably a spin off of a...
