If you do take it apart just be careful of the ballbearing because it will go flying. Again ask me how I know......

Sorry can't post pics now. I can tell you that I went last night and shot some groups and two came in under a dime and that's what I was looking for. I had one that had a 1 1/2 in. vertical string to it so that was me. I had another that had seven shots touching and the other three 1/2 in. out aroun...

You can get it back together with a clamp that opens up big enough. And it will take a FEW tries, just ask me how I know. One key is make sure the pin that holds the spring and ball in place fits easy ahead of time.

Thanks guys for the replies. Well, I have the star but I don't have the group yet. I agree that it would be good to try different ammo but there isn't much around here right now. I'm wondering if I might have a small burr that I'm not seeing. The gasses are escaping and printing a star but then the ...

Well that didn't work as well as I had hope for. I had a nice star forming. I guess just because you have a star doesn't mean a nice group will follow. So today I will put a small bevel on the crown and see what happens. Right now a nickel won't cover my groups. I would be happy if my groups were in...

Just giving an update. I recrowned my Mk I. Cleaned the barrel and lapped it with Fitz. After fouling the barrel my groups improved a little but, I think they should be better. I didn't see a star on the end of barrel but, had a even ring. So, I tried again and this time I went with 90 deg. crown. G...

All I shoot out of it is CCI S/V. In fact I have enough to finish the season and a couple of practice matches then I'm out. Ammo is not to be found around here so I haven't tried to much else. I have shot it clean and I have shot it dirty, doesn't make a difference in group size. It's a 6 in. standa...

Hi Guys, So, my leagues are almost over and I started to do good, for me,with my Mk I. I like the way I have the trigger now. One thing that bothers me is it doesn't group well. This Mk I has the 6 inch tappered barrel which I added a small amount of weight to the end to help with recoil. It groups ...

Well I replaced my Mk I trigger, disconnector and hammer with Vq. parts. All I had to do was to take a little material off the front face of the trigger. Boy is it nice now! I ordered A Clark bushing also but it hasn't arrived yet. The one that came with the gun works fine, tight in the hammer hole....

Thanks guys for the input. I had a chance to borrow a Bomar sight which I put on my Mk I. But, there was a few problems. Guess I would need to get a different front sight because I had the Bomar bottomed out and it was shooting high. Secondly, my vision, I would have to try a merit or eyepal because...

This is an interesting subject for me. I never really tried open sights. I bought a Mark I standard and that came with open sights which I used for one match and did ok but had it tapped and added a red dot. I hate to kill my average now that the leagues have started but found shooting open sights n...

So I have a question. This is for indoor 50ft bullseye shooting and all things being equally. I guess by being equally I mean your vision wouldn't make a difference or anything else. My question is do you think you give up a lot of points using open sites. I always felt if your using a dot you would...

New to me Mk I

So, I have a Mk I standard that I want to upgrade for bullseye shooting. My question is for anyone that has a Mk I. Have you installed a new trigger? And if you did which one did you go with? Also it seems to me that the hammer bushing is what sets the depth of the sear on the hammer and I'm wonderi...

mags

Hi all, Just bought a 1975 Mk I. It is a standard model which I had drilled and tapped for a dot to be mounted. I bought 3 mags for a Mk II to use in my Mk I but, they didn't fit good. I did what Bullseye said and took material off from the bottom of the base so now I have an gap between the ejecter...

Marvel

Hi all,
Looking to buy a marvel trigger for my new to me Mk I. If anyone has one I would be more than happy to give you a more than fair price. Also does anyone know where I can get a bolt for a Mk I?
Thanks,
Mk II
