Bullseye powder

Anybody in here used Bullseye powder for your handgun loading? If not what powder is your favorite? And why?

Re: First post of 2018, first since Christmas!

I purchased a S&W Governor. I had to send it back to Smith & Wesson because of light strikes resulting in Failure to fire. It's still at Smith & Wesson but anxious to get it back.

Ammo prices

Ammo prices seem to be coming down a little bit, especially when you find them on sale. I bought 10 boxes of Remington 9mm for $8.79 per box at Dunhams.
On another note, I purchased a Smith & Wesson 829 44 magnum this summer. Great shooting gun and love it.

Re: BUTTON RETAINING SCREW

I just used a eye glasses repair kit screwdriver for mine, it seemed to work well. What bothers me is that it appeared to be blue Loctite'd originally, and that's what I used to secure it back in this time. If it comes out again I am considering Super Glue to keep it in place. Other than this issue ...

BUTTON RETAINING SCREW

I happened upon a YouTube video describing a potential problem with the Ruger LCR. It showed an issue with the button retaining screw in that it backs out unknowingly through time. The shock of firing the revolver evidently loosens it to a point where it falls out and causes other parts too fall off...

Re: Lost my carry gun

 One of my biggest fears of the situation was that kids would find the gun and end up hurting themselves. It is a summer carry gun that I always keep in a holster with four extra rounds in a pouch on the side of the holster. Every night going to bed I would think about it with great concern wh...

Lost my carry gun

I have a North American Arms 22 Magnum revolver, needless to say it is a diminutive gun. I was going to the range and went down to my safe to pack it up and take it but it was nowhere to be found. I search high and low in my two story house with a basement for several days. I must have looked in eve...

Re: Win 296 light load

I instead have loaded some lighter rounds with Winchester 231 as per Lyman reloading manual. They are all within the suggested range the book offers, but are at a slower FPS then the full loaded Winchester 296 rounds. I am not going to lower the Winchester 296, nor any other powder outside of what t...

Win 296 light load

I have been loading my 44 mag with Win 296 @23g (book says 22-24g).This is a hefty load with plenty of kick. I loaded 10 rounds ea @ 21g, 20g, 19g, 18g, and 17g, and enjoy the 17g load. This of course is below the book range, and I have heard some warnings about loading this way with 296. What is yo...

What new firearm/s have you bought lately?

I have to new guns this year, both revolvers, but that's pretty much where their similarity ends. The first one it was a Smith & Wesson Model 629 44 Magnum revolver which resides on the larger end of the spectrum in terms of size and Power, and I also purchased a North American Arms 22 magnum / 22 l...

Re: Laser sights?

I have decided similar to Old Man's advice and not get the laser sights. I shoot pretty accurately with the point and shoot method without aiming through the sites. Accurate enough to do the job I mean. It seems like the more fiddling around one does while in a confrontation the more vulnerable you ...

Re: Laser sights?

I think if I were to get a laser for my LCR it would be the trigger guard mount not the grips. About five years ago I bought a pair of laser grips for my Beretta M9 and didn't like them at all. In order to activate the laser I had to alter my normal grip pressure to a point where it felt uncomfortab...

Laser sights?

Not much action happening in these forums these days, has everybody gone? I could probably do a search for the question I am going to ask but I thought I would ask it anyway to put a new post in the Forum. My carry gun is a Ruger LCR and I was considering putting on a laser site. I have read article...

Re: 44 special in Magnum cases

Well I got all my reloading components together and loaded up some 44 special in the 44 magnum cases and work perfectly. I used Winchester 231 powder and increase the minimum load from the special load data by 15% which is the amount of area increase in a 44magnum shell over the 44special shell. I l...
