What's Happening?

I have noticed recently that GTO has many, many new members (from around the world) whose posted interests and hobbies have nothing whatsoever to do with the subject of this forum. While the zero post count 'could' mean they prefer to lurk and browse the immense knowledge base we have here, it seems...

Thinking of Buying a Henry H001TM

Folks, http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h363/arizona-hermit/H001TM.jpg I am looking to pick up a companion gun for my incoming Kel-Tec PMR-30 and like the idea of an octagon barrel, lever action 22 mag rifle. I know several folks here have the H001, but was wondering if any had the magnum version...

Ruger P90

While I rarely shoot reloads anymore (read too lazy to roll my own and do not trust anyones else's hand mades) my P90 has reliably fed everything I have thrown at it in the past couple decades (cripes, is it that old already....). I would buy the thing in a heartbeat since I have huge hands and it f...

That is one awesome pistola the Rooskies have. I also have a Henry AR-7 (with 20 spare mags) and don't really think much of it. Will probably sell it or trade it away in the near future. My choice for a 'survival' weapon is the Ruger MK-II 10 incher with red dot. FAR more entertaining than the AR-7.

Re: Feedback

Snuffy, Thanks for the info and references. I will definably check out a Ultra Dot 30mm tube type red dot. I have read that Green Dots are easier to see for many folk. So I will investigate them also. Thanks to all. Coach, I too have problems seeing thru scopes and red dots, but mounted an Ultra Do...

Re: when seconds count the police are minutes away.....

my patrol area is about 144 square miles, I can't be every where all the time. A high court justice told a man once (sorry can't cite the case) "the police are NOT responsible for you protection 24/7, I suggest you get a gun" I totally understand your position. I too have the utmost respect for all...

Cripes... here I thought I was replying to the previous thread about at home carry and I somehow (magically) created my own thread.

Sorry about that.

At Home Carry

24 x 7. I live way out in the county and have multiple sightings of persons of unknown lineage/heritage without appropriate documentation to effect legal entry into this once sovereign nation daily. Home invasions and murder are not as uncommon as I would prefer in this area and I believe it is my r...

If this baby also came with a .22 magnum cylinder, I would already have (at least) one on order.

Re: AMT automag

One sold on GB couple of weeks ago for $600. Now THAT is one expensive magazine... the entire pistol must cost a mint  I googlefoo'd 'automag II magazine' and found them for retail of $40 and the sale price on this one was $35... looks like they can be found any number of places. http://www.g...

OoS Guns

Whenever I want a popular (or for that matter - a hard to find) weapon, I always check Gallery of Guns Click Here since they will ship to local FFLs. If item is out of stock, you can be notified by email when stock arrives and get it then. Have done business with them for many years and have never b...

That is one confusing news report.

All puppies and roses til they get downtown, then the guy is suddenly suicidal?

And since when would shooting a person FULL of electricity NOT make his muscles contract? D'OH

Seems a bit on the fishy side to me...

Kel-Tec KSG

Love it, yes... want one, yes; but will not pay $900+ for a pump HD shotgun. Now, if KT brings out a semi-auto version of that lil puppy, we'll see ;-)

My Saiga will have to do for now.
