I have a question along these lines. I use a 1" Ultra dot on my Ruger, my leagues are over now so I took off the dot to pratice with open sights. The gun balances much nicer now that I took off the U/D. So my question is what are your thoughts on a Ultra dot L/T. I know zeroing in is a pain but once...

It seems like an add on comp might have something to do with group size the way a bad crown would. I wonder if something like magnaporting is a good option, but then you lose the wow factor.

Marvel

Hi All, I have been trying to locate a marvel trigger for my Ruger for sometime now with no luck. I emailed Marvel again and received this reply. If someone has been looking for one of these triggers or if you simply want to upgrade your Ruger to have an adjustable trigger now is the time. Give Marv...

I was thinking about my routine and I do change things .........so I guess I don't have a solid routine. Last week I was moving my back foot around for a change and I remember on a timed string I shot it faster than any rapid srings I shoot. I was thinking where did that come from. It could be match...

Hey guys, blue68f100, thanks for checking on those screws for me that was really nice of you to go out of your way. Medicine Hat, I thought about that but decided to give up on adding more weight that way. I can wait until there is a gun show, buy some thick 1911 grips and crave out the back side th...

Feeling the shots, what do you mean by that? Same as you know when you shoot a ten, I can call my shots in pratice but I don't do it during a match. I use my scope throughout a match and I have adjusted my red dot during a match to bring my group of the day closer to center. After typing that last s...

So is a .150-50 uns-2A the same as a 6-40, both being standard 1911 screws by different names?
Blue68f100 has offered to pick me up some 6-40 screws at a local industrial supply house, but I don't want him to go out of his way if they aren't the same screws.
Thanks,

Inconsistency

Throwing this out to some of you bullseye shooters. I seem to be very inconsistent with my scores. Let me give you some numbers...two weeks ago shot 277 and 280. The next day, different league, a 259. Then Monday night 269 and 270. Seems like my scores bounce around a lot, like my red dot :-). I mak...

Ruger sent me an email stating the size of thier grip screws for the Ruger RP. Hex head of 3/32 a .150-50 uns-2A and 1/4 of an inch long. Which they told me is a standard 1911 grip screw. I'm looking for one that is 1/2 of an inch long. Like I mentioned before I called Midway and Brownell's along wi...

Hi All, Well not making out to good in my search for a few screws. azkmd, thanks for the link to McMasters. I emailed them and they replied saying they didn't have any. Lets see, I've tried Midway, Brownells, Ruger and Hogues with no luck. Just looking for a 1911 grip screw that's half inch long, I ...

I weighed them and each panel comes in at 1.5 oz. So right now I have an extra 3 oz. on the back bottom of the gun and it feels good. I would like to add two more and see what that feels like, any idea where to get the gun screws that would be an 1/4 inch longer? The thickness of the grips is an add...

You gotta love this sport. Maybe a love hate relationship, love that ten hate that five.
You might think about starting your own league on downsized targets. That way you'll have some competition.
You might be surpised and find enough shooters to start a small league.
