The S&W "Governor": Awesome! Now that would compliment any SD arsenal. Haka Hi Haka, I have read all kinds of negative remarks about the Judge. However, I own a 3" chambered S/S Judge and it sits loaded with #4 buckshot in my underware drawer (I can't think of anyone who would go through my underwa...

Hi Bullseye,

"higher degrees of consistency"..........a higher consistency of what? As I said, I know nothing and I come to the experts to learn. :D

Hi begreenea3,

Just out of curiousity, excluding the equipment required, what would the cost be to reload.......say 50, 38 Special wadcutters?

Don

(I sure hope good spelling and good grammer are NOT requirements on this forum. )

Dumb Question #1.......

Hi Guys,

Could someone please tell me; when a box of ammo is marked "Match"....what exactly does that mean?

I assume every cartridge in the box falls within some certain specification/s. But what :?:

Hi greener, One of the other revolvers I have is a 3" chambered Judge in stainless. I've shot quite a bit of 45 Colt though it and just a few 3", #4 buckshot. I have no complaints with it. It's a "sweet heart" compared to my snubby. Glad you brought it up. S&W is now making a Judge (Ooopps, "Governo...

Hi Gents, Thanks for the information. I do like to shoot the 638 but it sure does have one hell of a kick to it. As someone mentioned, it isn't quite as bad with wadcutters. 38 Special ammo is a little on the expensive side so I shoot my 22LR guns quite a bit more. I have crimson trace grips (...

Taurus, Public Defender Polymer?

Hi Guys, New here, so if this has been discussed before I apologize in advance. :D Taurus, Public Defender Polymer, Model 4510PLY-SS2. Just wondering what your take is on it? Does anyone own one? I don't want to make this a pi$$ing contest about Taurus quality. I own 2 Tauruses that are just fine. I...

Nice looking Ruger on your avatar. Hi greener, Thanks. :D Yes that is the last gun I bought (about a month ago). I've only put about 1200 rounds through it but I'm very pleased. It's my "new" favorite. :D As far as shooting the 638......you are quite correct. Not something you want to do on a regul...

Thanks for the replies Fellows. I really appreciate it. :D What initially motivated me was I was not exercising my 2nd Amendment Right. Well I took care of that :!: This first gun I bought was to carry.....for self defense. After talking to a lot of people I chose a S&W, Model 638 "Airweight" (38 Sp...

Many thanks fellows for your replies. As I said, the more I learn, the more I realize I don't know. Although, I have come to the conclusion that when I talk to people (mostly local) who I thought were well versed with guns .......there's a lot bullship out there (same as anything else)!...

New Guy from Pennsylvania.....

Hi Folks, This time last year I had never owned a gun (and I will be 65 in a few months  ). Anyway, I now own 6 and I'm really getting into the target shooting. I've been shooting 1200-1500 rounds per month, but like everything else, the more I learn........the more I realize I know NOTHING :!...
