Just ordered this holster

Post by Hakaman » Fri Dec 02, 2011 4:22 pm

I always wanted a holster for my S&W 686, and I finally ordered one. I don't
think one could go wrong with a Galco. Also, I don't see why it wouldn't fit my
617 as well?

Galco makes a nice holster.

Did you buy there last one from Midway?

I actually ordered the holster on ebay, and OpticsPlanet was the store. I thought I'd treat myself to an early Christmas present.

With Optics Planet you will probably have it by Tuesday as the latest. They ship orders out the same day they receive them.

I just used them a week ago on a Sightmark Green Laser.

Just got the holster in the mail, sure is nice. Good quality, can be worn strong or weak handed, and nice looking. The angle on the cross draw is canted for easy gun retrival and reholstering. If there is one drawback it would be in the firearm, not the holster. My 357 6" is sure heavier then my Kahr pm9 when worn on the belt. I like it even though.

Good to hear that it's of good quality.

A 6" barrel gun is more of a hunting or range gun than a HD gun. With that long barrel it will test you on draw speed. Cross draw is a good choice since you will not have to get you elbow over your head to get the gun out. :)
