pistol vs shotgun, which do u prefer?

some people prefer a shotgun at short to med range, but some people like a handgun i say this either one will do the job but i wud rather have my maverick 88 with 00 3 inch magnums =] i go boom

depends on what i am trying to hit.....


a round of sporting clays is difficult with a handgun.

It all depends on the threat or what I'm wanting to accomplish.

Texas law is pretty strict when it comes to deadly force. Which means it better be close range.

I would prefer that people use complete words and sentences, but maybe that's just me???

I'll assume you are talking about self-defense? In a fixed location, like my house, a 20 gauge pump shotgun would be my preference. But, since shotguns don't fit in pockets, when I'm out and about a handgun will do fine.

Got to agree with you on all statements, I prefer a minimum of a .38 for Carry and prefer a .45ACP. Used to shoot a lot of shotgun on sporting clays until I ran into a vision problem. Used to shoot 10 to 20 boxes of shells a week in 12, 20 28 and .410, really loved to shoot the 28, great shooting gun.
