If you can put up with the music of this video, you will see a pretty good display of power.

Neat video with the sound shut off, .500 is a real bottle buster.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

It looked like it showed the 9mm penetrating further than any of the rest except the 500. But not blowing the bottles apart.

Too slow to expand the bullet, so it just penetrates further vecause it does not change size/diamete

Very true but with some of the carry ammo for it these days it does. But a FMJRN will just penetrate. One of the reasons I moved to a 45.

What, you guys didn't like the really cool music?????..... :crazy eyes:

Nice display, but I think flat-sided bottles would have worked better. Rolling against each other probably deflected some of the effect.

I have read articles on ballistics that say the 9mm is a very good round to carry, if modern day technology is used. For example:
http://www.hornady.com/store/9mm-Luger- ... l-Defense/
You guys want 3 inch holes in everything you hit. The 45 is a nice round, though, but you can usually get many more rounds of 9mm compared to 45acp, in the magazine.

With a .48ACP, you only need one, the second is insurance.

Critical Defense is what I carry in all my guns. 9mm, 380, 38spl and 45. Yes I give up rounds with a 45, but with twice the stopping power I don't need as many. My 45 is smaller and lighter than my 9mm loaded.
