The Occaisionally Better Half got me this for my birthday (tomorrow). Neat design, but it "walks" away from you as it's hit. A lot of waits for my range to go "cold" so I can retrieve it....
They also specify 75 feet distance or better, and use of frangible or "soft" ammo (their quotes), whatever "soft" means.
For my needs, it's likely getting returned.

Those should be fun to shoot like the polymer balls and cubes. I like hanging the ball on a 2'-3' string so I have a moving target. Then the cube you dance along the ground. I don't like chasing the ball it goes too far... No restrictions on the polymer except HP are not recommended.
All types of reactive targets are more fun than paper.....

I'll stick to my Champion rubber prairie dogs. They don't walk around, and I've got two unshot ones that were free with a CCI promotion. A couple of half shot ones should make it through next year.
The Flippin' Critter was exchanged for a Galco Stow N Go IWB holster. Tried it around the house for a while, more comfortable than I expected.

Too long. What we got from Sandy has kept it around 50, damp, and windy for over a week. Supposed to finally hit about 68 next weekend.Hakaman wrote:How long until summer?
I hate to fuss about that, considering what people are going through in the worst of Sandy's path.

Check with oldman, he is the undisputed world champion of how many .22 rounds you can put into a prairie dog spinner.ruger22 wrote:I'll stick to my Champion rubber prairie dogs. Unlike where you are, we don't hope summer comes on a weekend.ruger22 wrote:Too long. What we got from Sandy has kept it around 50, damp, and windy for over a week. Supposed to finally hit about 68 next weekend.Hakaman wrote:How long until summer?

I'm farther east than ruger22 and plan to do my regular outdoor shooting most of the winter because it will be much warmer, some of the time. I may even try to continue the annual greener's Dec shootout in Kalamazoo, assuming my favorite son isn't still homeless.
