Saw one of these on a MKIII today. Very nice. Very easy to see. Better than the Hi-Viz

Looks like it might be good......not sure about it for BE shooting thougth....Ive been lookin for somethin to change out the stock sight on my 678 tapered target with.....My buddy has a hi-viz on his competition model and I tryed it for BE and I had some trouble with sigth alignment and/or focus with it.......that glowing front sight gave me a hard time with rear sight alingment......and maybe a coinsidense my buddy can shot a few points higher scores with my gun witch just has the stock front sight....yr mileage may very but just my .02......

This site is smaller than the Hi-Viz pipe. Looks it will give slightly better sight placement and control.

I need help in seeing the front sights. Each year they get a bit harder to see.

They just don't make front sights the way they used to when I was a young guy, over the years the quality has degraded immensely.

Looks more sturdy than most. and still has a square top blade to match with a notch. Thanks for the heads-up!

Ordered one. Will see how it does

They also make one for the Taurus 1911. If I like the Ruger site, I may try one on the Taurus.

Got it in today. The small pipe makes the sight stand out. Looks good on my GC.

I think that screwdriver would get better groups if you turned the sight a little.......

I can point shoot that screwdriver and get <0.25" groups without the sights.

Looks like a nice sight. I bought a Tactical Solutions red fiber optic front sight for my Mk II and was also pretty happy with it but it looks like the Dawson pipe is a bit narrower. I might like that better.

Nice sight, Greener. When I was considering getting into USPSA single stack, I researched what setup all the top shooters were using on their 1911s and nearly all of them use the Dawson fiber-optics, including Rob Latham. You definitely made a good buy.

Put about 100 rounds through the GC with that sight. It was very easy to see the sight. Almost like a red dot scope. I like it better than the HI-Viz on my Hunter. Good buy for $20

The sight that fits the MKII/MKIII bull barrel is supposed to fit the Single Six. Bought another one to try on the SS, but the front sight screw on the Ruger sight is too long for the DP sight. Much easier to see the Dawson front sight, but I won't know how it shoots until I come up with a new screw.
