MarkII sight questions

I recently picked up a used Mark II with 4.5" tapered barrel with fixed sights. I love it except for the sights. At 50' from a rest, my point of impact is about 5" left and 3" low of center. My questions are:
Can the fixed rear sight be drifted over?
Can I raise the point of impact by filing down the front sight?
Are there aftermarket adjustable sights for the tapered barrel version (the ones I have seen online say they are for the bull barrel)?
It is not drilled/tapped, my other Marks are but I want to shoot this one with iron sights.
Has anyone tried making the front blade thinner?
Our local game is to cut a .22 box in half at 50" in less than 100 shots (it's harder than it sounds, try it), the front post is so wide it covers the target at that distance.
Thanks

You can drift the rear sight.

Adjustable sights: LPA?

As Greener mentioned LPA sights can mount on your tapered barrel pistol. They utilize the stock front sight, so you do not have to change that out. I have not seen any narrower front sight blade posts for the standard model.

You sound like you have some experience. Have you tried several brands of ammo, or sticking to a "favorite"? Is the 50 foot distance your usual practice? Most handgun sights are set for 75 feet, from the factory.

Before you start filing, just be sure it is exactly what you want to do. Once that metal is gone, it's very hard to put back!

I drifted the rear over, now the windage is dead on. I am putting an orange sticker 4" higher than my target and can get 7 to 8 out of ten hits. I am holding off on taking material off of the front blade for now. I may order an extra blade next time I need a part and experiment. I use whatever bulk pack ammo is on sale (not goldens or hollowpoints). The expensive stuff gives me 8 to 9 hits out of ten.
