So, what is an International? Why is it named Manny? Inquiring minds want to know! Regards

Ruger 10/22 international. Mannlicher stock.

Would you believe (1) I knew that or (2) I was lucky enough to find it on the net?

I actually saw two different version of that model in the LGS flyer when I stopped to pick up some ammo.

Why Ruger calls it an International, you got me. Maybe because of the Teutonic stock " Mannlicher Schonauer" I believe is the full name and made in the USA. Figure the surname of Manfred Von Scheutemup fir him perfectly.

Just having some fun with you and Bear of course! Decades ago I used to hunt with a friends Uncle who had one of those old full stocks built on a Mauser action with double set triggers in 7mm. So, I've always lusted for one and always admired them

Yep, I always wanted them years ago myself. Missed out on them years ago, now this came along in checkered walnut and I could not resist. My regular guy did not have one but one of his 2 main gun shop competitors did, in fact they even had a used laminate, but that got sold just before I called. Those 3 shops around here are all family owned and friendly competition. The owner at my shop even told me to get it because he did not know when he could get one.

I think they've become regular production at Ruger.

I'm digging mine, still, might take it out today for a rimfire extravaganza at the range.
