Marlin 39a octagon dovetail plug

Hi guys. I've got a Marlin 39a 1897 Texan model .22 fitted with target sights. I removed the rear sight, leaving a dovetailed notch. I can't find a plug for the octagon barrel. Plenty for the round barrel. I'd welcome any advice for info.

You could try one of these for that dovetail slot.
http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=2073 ... SLOT_BLANK Currently they're out of stock but they look pretty nice on the octagon barrel in the empty slot.
Midway carries these too,

Another option is to get one of these filler sticks and file your own dovetail slot filler.
