We actually ran an informal internet postal 22 match once before; on one of the preceding forums to this one (MarkII.org). That was quite a while ago and participation went well for a time but eventually dropped off. We had different leagues running over the year and they typically lasted for 3 months at at time. We did have some technical issues with posting targets and one gent had volunteered as the match official. That required keeping stats and determining level winners. We went with the NRA classification levels for the leagues and the winners. It was run strictly on an honor system. If it turns out that there is an interest to revive this style of match, I can create a new forum within Guntalk-0nline for postal matches.

I'd be interested, but the range I go to closed the 25yrd pistol line... Now they only offer 7 and 15yrds. I have to leave this part of Texas if I want to participate in this sport (which I am planning on).

Count me in !!! The range I go to all the time is 50' Indoor using B-2 and B-3 targets. I'd love to play.

Ah, hell with it ... I'd be in.

All three answers are right in my case, though.

Somewhere I've seen NRA targets for 7 yards! Itty-Bitty lil things lol

21 foot (7 yd) slow fire target

21 foot (y yd) timed/rapid fire target

Now that would make it fair for everyone!! lol

You have to go to this link and print your target at 100%. Setting your printer to resizing=none.

otherwise, you'll make it smaller

7 yards to 50 yards... really shouldn't make all that much difference as the target would be scaled for that specific distance. I sure wouldn't want to be shooting the 50' B-3 at 25 yards !!!

If it's set up as a fun shoot, it probably doesn't matter what range as long as the appropriate (NRA approved) targets would be used..

Since many of us apparently are staring at large quantities of the white stuff... indoors is probably where I'd start...

I can only do indoor, but I'm definitely interested!

Would this be mailing targets in to a coordinator or uploading pictures of them?

Ok, seems to be some interest!!

Why don't we try this at first, just to see how it works.

You can use the appropriate NRA target for whichever yardage you choose.

50y, 25y, 50f, or 21f

On the 21f (B2and B3 reduced) it's probably best if the 5 round strings are on separate bulls for ease of scoring..

Each month, shoot your best NMC (10 slow, 10 timed, 10 rapid) and post the score, and, preferably, the targets too! That way we can all see each others.

I'll try and figure out a running results schedue we can keep posted...

Honor system... We know who you are lol

You may also use any NMC scores posted in official tournaments also.

The 30 shot NMC must be shot consecutively..

Let's see what we can do...

If you'd like, I will create a separate "Postal Forum" as a place for the folks to post their targets and related information.
