Actually, I have no score to post.
Not shooting much .22 in any case, mostly all .45 as our indoor league winds down.
I have decided to forgo the red dot optic on my guns and return to iron sights.
That has caused what is at least a temporary drop in my scores. So....I won't be posting much until I get this approach in order.
Right now, I am inconsistent in all stages -SF I will shoot seven or eight nines and tens and then a couple of sixes.
The same happens in sustained fire....mostly center shots and then two sixes or a five.
It'll come.

The red dot is a great training aid because it gives a skilled shooter instantaneous feedback. When a shooter doesn't have to depend on aligning two separate planes of measurement to accomplish the task the hits can explain what has happened to the shots especially in the area of trigger control. By returning back to the iron sights the shooter must concentrate even more on the alignment of the sights and still maintain perfect trigger control to achieve the same degree of feedback. Generally what happens is the two sighting planes are constantly moving which causes momentary lapses in trigger control, resulting in errant shots.

Ruger MKIII, Ultradot, CCI SV, indoors 50

SF 92

TF 99

RF 98

NMC 289-?

This is my NMC from the sectional match I shot last night, I forget the x count. My total score was 859-22x which I was pretty happy with considering how many shots I had outside the black, my nerves were getting to me on timed and rapid, but the the targets still scored alright. One rapid target had eight tens, and two eights, didn't look so great, but still a 96.

Ruger MKIII, ultradot. CCI SV, 50' indoors

SF 97

TF 99-7X

RF 98-2X

NMC 294-9X

Finally posted a slow fire that matches my timed and rapid ability. My highest score in a sanctioned match yet. It's funny how your performance can change from one match to another, last week I fired my worst score of the season with a 272. I can't explain how I shot the good slow fire, it was just one of those times when it felt easy, just need to work on finding that zone more often.
Pete, how is the iron sight, and .45 shooting going? I recently had the chance to shoot a club members hardball gun  Iron sights, and a 4 pound trigger is a whole different animal than my Ruger, not to mention recoil. I was barely able to keep all my shots within the scoring ring at 50'.

March....I put the Ultra dot back on to the Victor.....just can't match it yet with irons.
SF - 89
TF - 94 2X
RF - 96 1X
NMC - 279 3X

Irons - Actually, the .45 is coming along somewhat better than the .22. I can pretty much duplicate or better my SF scores. TF - if I break that first shot at the buzz, then I have been OK - still needs work though. RF.....I still feel rushed with the .45. I have to relearn the trick of catching the sights as the gun drops out of recoil.
Having big holes helps the SF scores.

Many years ago I really liked shooting the 50' gallery course with the .45 for the same reason. Even though the slow fire targets have the reduced centers and lower value scoring rings, the bigger diameter holes the .45 made helped me pick up a few points at the long line.
