My shooting bud, I believe had one but he sold it. He had a bunch of Rem 700's in various calibers, but sold or traded off a lot of them when he got interested in the front stuffers. About a year and a half ago he shot a muzzle loader at our clubs fun shoot and he got totally addicted, now he has several of them and really enjoys them. He sold or traded off all but I believe, a 7mm08 and a .17. Now that little gun is a fun shooter even for this old man, very accurate and no more recoil that a .22LR. Bullets look like little fat phonograph needles, if you are old enough to remember them. Ther was so little diference between the .204 and the .17, so he decided to keep the smaller one.

After all of the initial hoopla from being introduced died out, the reports about the .204 Ruger have been consistently positive over a fair period of time - a very good sign!

I can't recall a single .204 horror story.

I've never owned a .204, but judging by other folks' reactions, I would not hesitate to buy one, myself.

Not any 204 shooters here it seems. Due to the simple fact that I have dies, etc for 223 I ordered my new long range rifle in 223. Regards

I'm not one to jump on the caliber du-jour bandwagon for my personal weapons. I mainly stick to the traditional sizes mainly based around what the military uses, this allows me to continue to get supported with fresh ammo when I need it. I do have a few oddball calibers in my collection but those were acquired mainly by opportunities and not by personal choice.

I'm new to this forum, but have shot a 204 since shortly after they became available. I shoot prairie rats with mine. For my purposes it is superior to the 22-250. I have found the Hornady factory ammo to be very good, but I reload 39gr. Sierras for mine.
