Consignment ? and Gunbroker ?

Hi,
I have a Ruger SR9 Olive Drab 9MM that is virtually brand new (less than 200 rounds) It has been at the gun dealer for almost 2 months.
Question: How long should I give the gun shop to sell my gun?
I do have a new gunbroker account that I have never used... so I am not sure I will be successful (no feedback).
Question: How do I sell a firearm on Gunbroker?
* I see that the firearm has to ship to a FFL...
* But how do you know if you are shipping to a "real" FFL?
* How do you know that the person that bought the gun will pass the background test?
* My SR9 is not legal in every state... Is it my responsibility to verify that the gun is legal in the buyers state?
