Utah "mountain man" eludes authorities for 5 years

This is marked as an Asssociated Press story, so I'll assume it's valid.

I think the guy has just dropped out of society, and wants to be left alone. The theft and vandalism are bad, but sounds like authorities are stripping his camps bare, maybe leaving him little choice.

I understand there is some of this in the Pacific Northwest, too; mostly combat vets.

Saw an article in the paper about this, they actually have a game camera photo of the guy at a cabin. He's left quite a mess where ever he has been in the areas.

They may never find this guy. The Olympic Park bomber hid out in Western North Carolina for 5 years with the FBI and others looking for him. He was caught by an observant cop while raiding a dumpster. I have a feeling that the area in Utah is a lot less crowded than Western NC, making the guy harder to find.
