Had about 2K short of 250K on my 1995 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. It was having a few problem so I traded it in on a 2002, same make, model and color, because it was a low mileage unit, just 133K.

It doesn't look too bad for a 48 year old commuter car.

Looks as if the old lady and the car still look better than me.

I usually try "It's not the years, it's the mileage" but this gal and the car have both.

It didn't look like the car had had any major repairs which is amazing because it was built in the era when 100k miles was a big deal and they expected you to get a new one every couple years.

100K on a drive train in those days would have been a minor miracle. Body work looks to be original, but must have had some other engine etc repairs.

My mom had a 61 comet and my dad had a 64 farelane wagon which I drove while I was in high school. The 64 had a 289 v8 and had good pep, the coment not so. It only had a 144ci 6 cylinder and little to no pep. The reason my brother and I shared it. I bought the 64 from my dad when I started work, a summer job. Needless to say none lasted past 150k mi and that's with me rebuilding the engines in both.

None of these looked as anywhere as good as that car. 2 teenager boys took care of that :D

Seems a nice lady who really loves her car. The record mileage is over two million on a 1966 Volvo.
