Aw, shucks

Post by greener » Sat Aug 18, 2012 5:19 pm

I was shooting my Taurus 1911 and one of the essex frames at 5.5" Caldwell marking targets today. I was fighting tennis elbow but was getting everything in the 5.5" target. The guy who showed me his Kriss Vector told me he was amazed at how well I shot, one of the best he's seen. So I did my best, golly-gee, aw shucks routine.

Nice to know when you are cussin' the spread, someone else may have a different opinion.

You see people of all levels and abilities out at the range. It is nice to know while you're being hard on yourself others are admiring from a distance. Lots of good friendships get started that way.

My loud whining had absolutely nothing to do with it, I'm sure.

Perhaps he was admiring your creative use of expletives instead.
