Just think about all the billions we've donated to help rebuild Iraq and Afghanistan. Everyone sees how well the government has taken care of all the wounded war veterans throughout the years. Hey! Someone could start an NPO for Detroit - Oh wait a minute, that'll never get through the IRS 501.3 (c) (d) vetting process.

I haven't noticed that the rest of Michigan, the rest of the country or the White House is showing much interest in ponying up the $18 billion to bail the city out.
I will decline to help them out, my money goes to take care of my own expenses
