There’s a scientific explanation for this, that is related to chaos theory.

The way it is explained is with the illustration of a butterfly flapping its wings in Burma – and this eventually causes a weather event in North America to occur that – in turn – can only be explained by global warming.

Must be the cause. Gorbul warbling started about the time they banned DDT, so there must be more flapping butterflies.
