Same gun just before getting shipped home to me:

More in focus on the bench:

I decided to pull the magwell, speed reloads aren't a priority in pin matches and it didn't go with the slim alumagrips I installed anyway. Also it emphasizes the extra barrel/slide length.
(I'd do this with an officer frame if I could, actually)

I like the look. What's up with the Chem glove? Was that to protect you from all that Breakfree slathered on the outside of that pistol? :D

I was simply still wearing the glove when I snapped that pic to show a friend.

The slathered on breakfree LP was my doing. Once this boomstick is broken in, I'll probably slather it in frog lube, for now, I'm running it wet with LP, and cleaning it with CLP.

I was just teasing you as I saw the bottle in the picture, we both know 1911's like to run 'wet'. Too little lubrication will easily cause malfunctions with a match tuned pistol.

It isn't tuned that tight, really. It's for knocking pins off a table fast, not pinpoint precision at 100y. The 5" barrel/slide is probably tighter.

Which doesn't mean I won't be trying it out at 100y when the weather turns.
