Shop Decoration

Post by charlesb » Sun Mar 09, 2014 9:49 pm

My wife came into the shop today, and was critical of my empty whiskey bottle collection.

There were four empty 1.75 liter bottles of Evan Williams ( black label ) bourbon lined up on the window-sill, which had taken me a year or so to collect.

I explained that the bottles are there to let customers know that I am a serious, dedicated worker. I reminded her of the auto repair shop we once went to where the owner had bottles of scotch here and there around his office.

"He did pretty good work, didn't he?" I reminded her.

Have I gone wrong, somehow?

Obviously you didn't explain the hours of dedicated effort required to get an empty whiskey bottle collection. But women don't understand things like this or hobbies. Sometimes it's quite hard to get the message through. It's enough to drive one to drink.
