On 9s

Even though I'm a 1911 kinda guy 9mms have their place in life I guess. I own a Tanfoglio which I like pretty well but I had to work on the trigger pull a bit to make it sweeter shooting. It's a CZ clone and I like the way it fits my hand....plus it's all steel construction which is a plus

Follow-up on the Taurus Judge

Please understand guys, I intend no ill will against this gun because for what it was designed it can sure enough serve its purpose. I am just a stickler for accuracy and this gun can not provide it. I was hoping it would prove more accurate but deep inside I knew better all along. After all a wise ...

On the Judge

I have one of those pistols and I must say that if I had to do it over again I wouldn't buy it. After shooting maybe 50 rounds out of it the cylinder would not stay locked. I sent it back to Taurus and it took them 12-14 weeks to return it to me. Haven't shot it since. Why? Because it's not all that...

Done deal

It took a while to finish the polishing job but my 22 single six's trigger is now perfect. Absolutely no creep, and it shoots up a storm!

It's good to have competent friends that get the job done while you're on travel :D

Cocobolo is a tough, hard wood, and pretty to look at. Nothing like the looks of wood against gun metal. And polyurethane is what I've used for years now on all the milsurp rifles stocks and pistol grips I've refinished. It holds up very-very well and cab be easily re-applied. Can't say enough about...

Gang, I recently purchased a couple of Hogue monogrips, one each for my Superblackhawk and Vaquero. Sure enough they are of typical Hogue quality but I hate their mounting schema, and the way they look. Way too big for the size of the gun(s), these grips ruin the classic style of both pistols if you...

neophyte, after oiling my 22 the trigger is close to perfect. I know the trigger travel is there but it's so slight that I can't hardly feel it any more. Maybe it's now in my head  So, I'll shoot it as is for a while and take it down again only if/when I have nothing better to do, say in a mont...

Bullseye, my problem is I like all guns of quality. Call it a fixation, call it a passion but this hobby helps me unwind after a hard day's work so, as far as I'm concerned it's worth my expense, and the tunning effort I put into each and every one of them. To each his own I guess

The inards of this pistol are quite interesting. I took it apart yesterday evening, with the help of an expert friend, and polished most moving parts, including the trigger and hammer contact surfaces/sear. The trigger pull is much better than before but not quite there yet. I'll keep at it until it...

The spring job has been completed. Pretty forward really, took me 3/4 of an hour to complete including cleaning the pistol. The results are satisfactory, the trigger pull in 2lbs 5oz but I'll have to stone the contact surfaces. There's ever so little a creep which I must eliminate to be 100% happy. ...

Another most accurate pistol from Ruger. This single action pistol of mine shoots about as accurate as my MarkII. Once again I am the weak link

After the spring job I expect that things will only improve!

As usual, Bullseye to the rescue. Thanks a million my friend!

Heading out to shoot it, as is, and then maybe tomorrow I'll tackle the spring change.

My springs are in

So gentlemen, is there a site out there that would show me how to take down my Ruger Vaquero, or single six, so as I can replace the stock trigger spring with a Wolff?

Thanks,
