Re: About gone but not forgetten

Hi, this is Hakaman, just checking in to see if there is any activity of late. Something has gone on besides just people getting old to cause such infrequent postings by many. The covid virus and the cost of ammo have taken over many aspects of the world of shooting. Even at the club I belong to the...

Re: About gone but not forgetten

I'm hanging in there, here, but miss the guys and times when this forum was going well. Haka ps... I looked over the posting here and I have said what seemed to mention the same thing over again. I guess I just miss the how people would talk in here, seem like good info all the time. I just o...

Re: About gone but not forgetten

Hello to whoever can hear me, I also miss the Forum the way it was, and looked up to several in here for technical advice. Whatever happened to Bullseye, The Old Man and Bear, and Greener? If there's one thing in life that does not change, it's how things change so often and constantly. I pray all i...

Re: About gone but not forgetten

I have been shooting at the range on Fridays With Friends , but we haven't been able to go out to lunch afterwards like usual because the restaurants are carry out only. Also went to the range with my AR-15 with friends and shot a couple hundred rounds. Nothing like shooting AR-15, very efficient ri...

Re: I'm going to try to make Camp Perry this year

I used to shoot service rifle at my club , but it got to be a lot of work lugging out all the equipment and setting up. I don't shoot anyting competitive, I just enjoy shooting with my buddies at the club basically open shooting.

Re: My New S&W M-41

Dang, that's a long barrel you have on your Ruger. You have some nice pistols yourself. I messaged bear and the old man and he hasn't been shooting for 3 or 4 years now because of health issues. I don't know if you have talked with him or not but that's the reason he doesn't come in here anymore and...

Re: My New S&W M-41

That's a nice looking pistol. How reliable is it with ammo of various manufacturers? Also, how easy is it to break down and clean? From appearance it looks like it is very ergonomically suited to shoot similar to a 1911 . I just purchased a Ruger Mark 4 22/45 Lite pistol is that I am really enjoying...

Re: About gone but not forgetten

Hello everyone, and Merry Christmas! I miss days of yore when people would be periodically posting in here because it seemed like a down-to-earth gun forum and wasn't overcrowded with BS you find in larger forms. How are all of you doing? I wonder about the likes of the Old Man and Greener, as well ...

Re: Too Quiet

It's strange that it is so slow because there are so many gun owners out there. Where has everybody gone?

Re: Too Quiet

I agree, it used to be a good group of posters in here, I don't know where they all went. I will post a comment of what happened to my LCR recently. Well shooting, get jammed up inside and would not fire anymore. I brought the gun home from the range and disassembled to find the transfer bar had bro...

Re: NAA Guardian 32

The biggest issue for me carrying a concealed pistol is weight, which coincides with size as well. My favorite carry gun for winter/jeans weather is my Ruger LCR 38 + p revolver because it's light enough, packs a lot of punch and conceals well in my right front pocket with a DeSantis Nemesis holster...

Re: 45 caliber sizes

I've been using the same powder load for 230 and 250gr bullets for .45 Colt loads for quite a while. I don't recall ever loading ACP with 250 gr. If I did, I'd probably shoot them in my ACP cylinder for the Blackhawk. I've gotten good results with 200 and 230 gr ACP loads in my 1911's and haven't b...

Re: 45 caliber sizes

I don't load 45 ACP for semi-automatic pistols, all those bullets there are for my revolvers. I have been loading 45 ACP for my Smith & Wesson Governor revolver which uses moon clips.

45 caliber sizes

I have a technical question concerning 45 caliber handguns, and the size of the bullets I reload. I am wondering what the consequences are of loading the below listed sized 45 caliber bullets in either a 45 ACP handgun or a 45 Long Colt revolver. Here are the three bullets I have and I am wondering ...

Re: Bullseye powder

I sort of like Bullseye powder, because it seems to have a wide range of loading options. Although, my primary go to powder is Winchester 231. W231 seems to burn clean and does a nice job. I load most everything with 231 including light Magnum loads. My go-to Magnum powder is w296 for those real ear...
