Went to the range today and gave the new Trailside a test run. It went pretty well with very few FTF's shooting Federal's bulk pack ammo. The gun was pretty accurate with the target sights that came on the gun so really no complaints there. I'm sure once I get an Ultradot on it that will improve. Ri...

Yeah, I thought so. I have the target as well, but with the red dot or holo it doesn't really matter. Mullet sells a nice set of dovetail rings for about 15 or 20 bucks that will work for the Ultradot and I'm not sure about the holo. Would it be too much trouble to ask you to send oa pic of the gun ...

:) Jambie, glad to hear that about the cleaning deal. I ran a bore snake through it ahd scurbbed what I could reach with a toothbrush and Q-tips with the aid of Break Free CLP to get it ready to go. Almost smells like a gun should now. I forget, but I think you have the 6"barrel don't you? I have th...

:( Darn.......things have come up and I'll not get to go range this weekend to try out my new Trailside. I have been checking out the gun, reading the manual, etcl and wondered if any of you had had any problems with stripping and reassembling the gun. Since it's got the 4.5" barrel the Weigland mou...

Trailside

HELLO, I bit the bullet this afternoon and bought a Sig Trailside Target w/4.5" barrel. :D I feel the gun shop gave me a fair deal $350+taxes, but I think they might have made some $'s up on the extra mag I bought. Those darn mags are expensive $40.00 (I'll get along with two for a while, lol) ha. T...

Hi, I thought maybe you had cleaned and replaced the Ultradot on your new Trailside. I was curious how difficult it was to strip and reassemble and if you lost zero on the scope. The gun looks like a nice one and I'm thinking seriously aout getting one if I can find it for what you paid around here....

MKIII Grip screws

Hi Fellows, I need some help....While I was at the range today my MKIII SS 67/8" fluted barrel Hunter stopped ejecting the magazines. In fact I had a heck of a time getting them out and finally discovered the "Grip Screw" was missing in the upper right grip and allowing the magazine release not to w...

:) Hi, I've been reading some reviews on the new Sig Trailside and they look impressive. Got a couple questions if you don't mind>
1. Which model did you get?
2. How much
3. Can you mount a weaver style rail/mount on the pistol and is there a rail or mount available for the pistol?

22a report

Thanks greener, If things go well today with the gun I probably will try using it Thursday night when we shoot pins.
Haven't any practice with it yet, but what the heck.....it'll either sink or swim (performance wise).

HILLO! Well I ran 100 rounds of CCI mini mags and over 100 Fed's through the S&W 22A-1 this morning and had only 4 FTF's. and they were 2 of each brand. The FTF's came towards the end of the two hour session when I could tell the slide was getting harder to pull back. Hopefully as the gun gets broke...

New 22A-1 Report

Hey-There! Went to the range yesterday (indoor) with my new 22A-1. I can't say I was too impressed. The accuracy was there, but I swear...I couldn't get through a simgle mag without a FFF :x . I was shooting Wall Mart specials (Federal 550 bulk pack) which have never given me any trouble with any of...

Re: S&W 22A

I took my 22/45 to the gunsmith for some trigger work which left me without a pistol...I spotted a new S&W 22A in the gun case and the price was right so I bought it. While I waited for it to be added to my permit (about a week) I heard so much negative talk about that model that I was sorry I boug...

Yeah, it's an accurate little rifle. Once I got the scope nice and fine tuned it was shooting less than 1/2" groups of 5 at 25 yrds consistantly (really just one hole so I know some were on top on one another). I have the 99M1 manual and schematic but the schematic is fuzzy and really hard to read, ...

 I have the manual here and the boltlock your refering to is on the 99C. Instructions say for clearing rifle "hold bolt back and visually check to make certain the chamber is clear".
Boy, how I wish it had a BL.

I forgot ato add this little rascal doesn't have a boltlock so you have to strip to clean. Wonder if you could add a boltlock to it?
