Chadflys, from your first post it seemed that you had already passed on the CZs as to expensive right now. Between the Savage and the CZ I would go with the CZ. This is my CZ American 16" threaded(for suppressor) that will shoot under 1/2" @50 yds with Remington Subsonic with a compact Burris 1.5X5...

I haven't actually owned one but the Ruger 77/22 may be a good option. I have heard good things about this bolt action 22.

I went to the website. They have some very durable looking targets. I may have to try one. Thanks for the info.

Winchester 555 Bulk

I just left WW with two 555 boxes of Winchester 22 LR 38 Grain Hollow Points. The box says plated but they are copper washed. This is the first I have seen of these in my area. Has anyone had any experience with these?

I check for ammo every time I go by a WW. It is hit and miss, mostly miss. As bad as it is I will not buy Remingtons for the reasons that everyone has stated. I have experienced the same things. I spoke with the clerk at WW recently concerning the Remingtons. He admitted that he gets a lot of compla...

I think we gave about $650. The problem I had with negotiating was there were none in the area to be had. The one we found had just arrived and the dealer knew we had been looking for one.

In cooler weather I usually carry a S&W M&P40C. It is very concealable under a sweatshirt or jacket in a IWB holster or high ride hip holster. It is definitely not a pocket gun. In warm weather while wearing shorts and T-Shirt I carry a Ruger LCP in my back pocket with a pocket holster so the print ...

Maybe some choice places downtown? Just put a camera case over your shoulder for bait like in Death Wish.

You probably had a round that did not have the primer. I have heard of several reports on bulk ammo. Federal 510 has seamed to have the most duds, some report as many as 30 in a box of 550. Even 1 on CCI which is normally works 100% of the time. If you pull the bullet you can find out. Then look in...

When I installed my VQ extractor I also did the mag mod as seen in this link. I haven't had a single FTE since.

I haven't done any sqiurrel calling but have done a lot of predator calling. I found this web site that may be of some use to you. It sounds like the distress calling would be the least desirable to me. I would think that you would get better results just imitating other squirrels barking. Good luck...

I had an issue with a VQ sear such as you are talking about. Here is a link to the thread where it was discussed. It may help.

Are they greys or reds? I didn't say this but if they are greys there is a cassettte tape that will really call them if they are anywhere close enough to hear. It is made by Johnny Stewart game calls and is titled "Grey Fox Pup". It is an actual recording of a grey fox pup hollering. Be ready when y...
