After you install the oversize Mark ll hammer bushing in your Mark lll, and removed the LCI, you are basically left with a Mark ll with a mag release upgrade.

I have MatchDots on both of my Marks. I like the ability to change the MOA size. I'm extremely pleased with them.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!! I would like to say that the people here are some of the most polite and courteous people I know. I do participate in some other blogs and have been surprised at the negativity and lack of respect I have seen when there is any disagreement. Thanks to everyone for being c...

I found a pistol I wanted and it was not offered in 45 caliber but was made in 40 caliber. I bought it and like it a lot. I have a 45 as well and also like that one. They are both good rounds.

After that they got a bunch more complaints from people who thought their pins were missing because of the hole. Of course they did. They were the ones who told us over and over that the pin MUST be present, and then didn't include a picture or description in the manual near the warnings about miss...

It seems they are using roll pns and solid pins today. I don't know what determines which pin they put in what pistol. I bought a new slabside Mark lll less than a year ago and it had a solid pin. My 5.5 target model that I bought several years ago had a roll pin. I have heard others say that they h...

I have heard good things about the Mueller. How does it do outside in bright sunlight? Does the glare keep you from picking up the dot easily?

Brake cleaner will work very well. It cleans good and evaporates quickly. Just be sure to lubricate afterwards because it will wash away any lube or oil.

I'm still not comfortable with a 22 for self defense. I once new a man that was shot by a 22 rifle and took the rifle away from the attacker and beat him to death with it. I do carry a Ruger LCP 380 and that is about as small as I will go for self protection. It carries well and I often forget I hav...

I disabled the LCI but left the indicator in place. It has no purpose now other than to fill the hole.
