After 400 rounds and a good cleaning, my new cylinder looks as bad as the old cylinder. The crane looks the same as does the spots that looked bare on the old cylinder. Virtually identical in appearance. I rubbed a spot with my thumbnail and it came off......rubbing all of the spots near the forcing...

Went to town this AM and, wouldn't you know, UPS tried to deliver my LCR. If only I had been informed that it was shipped, I could have been here to receive it.

I am pretty disappointed in that first LCR-22, and with Ruger letting their standards slip. Not that long ago, far fewer Rugers got out the door with defects, and Ruger usually resolved the issue inside of two weeks, not a month or more. I saw on another forum that a member just got a replacement ....

I think it's going back to Ruger. The finish is coming off the cylinder. Strange. All it's ever been cleaned with is Hoppe's #9 solvent. And there's a spot on the crane that looks like the aluminum is disintegrating.

But the big question is did the rounds hit where the sights were aimed? It does appear that they did some final reaming on those cylinders to smooth them out. R, Bullseye I was using the laser....not the hard sights. Still working on that solution and I think I have one. Testing will tell for sure.
