IT"S LEAD!!!

After 400 rounds and a good cleaning, my new cylinder looks as bad as the old cylinder. The crane looks the same as does the spots that looked bare on the old cylinder. Virtually identical in appearance. I rubbed a spot with my thumbnail and it came off......rubbing all of the spots near the forcing...

Got it! And it looks nice. I like it!!! Very glad you got good results, too, and a quicker turnaround than I I did. Maybe Ruger's getting caught up on things. I'm happy with mine. I may take a little off the front sight to make it a better "trainer" for the 357. I think the finishes will be okay ex...

Got it! And it looks nice. They changed the cylinder assembly (with crane) and the hammer. Don't know why the hammer was changed. I haven't fired it yet, but I did dry fire and the trigger is lighter and smoother.....at least it seems so. Preparing for a camping trip, so may not have a chance to fir...

Went to town this AM and, wouldn't you know, UPS tried to deliver my LCR. If only I had been informed that it was shipped, I could have been here to receive it.

Just two weeks this time. I shipped it back to them just two weeks ago tomorrow. Fantastic!!

Wow, I'd be quite disappointed with that LCR. All companies have gutted the workforce to try to make wall street look good, and reducing QA workers is part of the problem. Curious if this is a design flaw or weak materials? Looks like both. It seems Ruger has changed the finish on the cylinders of ...

Glad it is OK this time. I received my soft case back today via UPS. Strange they didn't just send it back with the gun. Not like I needed it with the gun still in the hospital. The first time I sent it back, I did not send it in the case and they sent me a new one when they returned the gun. Now I ...

I am pretty disappointed in that first LCR-22, and with Ruger letting their standards slip. Not that long ago, far fewer Rugers got out the door with defects, and Ruger usually resolved the issue inside of two weeks, not a month or more. I saw on another forum that a member just got a replacement ....

Are you forgetting how to get to the range or your way home   Had an incident last week. Was out canoeing on Waldo Lake (a huge lake in Oregon) and broke a paddle fighting the wind to get back to camp. Shipwrecked on the rocks. Hiked back to camp to get another paddle and then hiked back...

Not what I wanted to hear. Mine went back in today. Best of luck to you. I see you on RF, too, so you've seen there that the average turnaround now seems to be three weeks. Main thing is that it's right this time. We've all worked too hard for every gun dollar we spend, to settle for less. Come Tue...

I just do a little welding job and all those unspent primers on the floor make their presence known. Like a bunch of lady fingers going off.

I happened to think of a detail. The crane on all three LCR models is supposedly the only investment cast part on them, and stainless steel. The erosion on your crane looks especially bad for a stainless part. It is this erosion of the crane that made me decide to send it back (again). If it were j...

I think it's going back to Ruger. The finish is coming off the cylinder. Strange. All it's ever been cleaned with is Hoppe's #9 solvent. And there's a spot on the crane that looks like the aluminum is disintegrating.

But the big question is did the rounds hit where the sights were aimed? It does appear that they did some final reaming on those cylinders to smooth them out. R, Bullseye I was using the laser....not the hard sights. Still working on that solution and I think I have one. Testing will tell for sure.
