I just talked to Ruger last Friday about the firing pin stops. My new 22/45 had the roll pin in it. Ruger said that they started using the roll pins because too many people were leaving them out when they reassembled their guns. MKIII & MKIII 22/45 interchangability

I just got a MKIII 22/45 5 1/2" blued pistol. I was wondering if the receiver from a MKIII blued or stainless pistol would interchange with the MKIII 22/45's frame and visa versa. And if they do interchange, are there any modifications that have to be done? Thanks for any information.

MMC and Pachmeyer used to make adjustable rear sights that fit on a Ruger MKII with a standard barrel. The front sight did not have to be changed. I don't think either one is now available.
