Re: Clark Custom Barrel for S&W Model 41

Glad you found what your were looking for.

This is not the only site that has slowed way down on traffic. I'm on several and they are like this on on traffic, a post every month or so.

Re: Too Quiet

This is not the only forum that is very quiet. There are several I visit and there is very little to no activity. I only check this site once a week since it's slowed way down.

Re: 45 caliber sizes

Where the dia causes problems is when the throats on the cylinder are smaller than the forcing cone. As long as they will pass through you should not have a leading problem. Using too hard of a bullet can cause a leading problem when not pushing them hard enough to seal. The small throats reduce the...

Re: 45 caliber sizes

The 250gr is too heavy for the 45acp, though some have worked up loads for it. Load data is scarce.

Re: Bullseye powder

BE burns very dirty. I also use WST for my plinking and BE loads. I had some one at the range ask me what I was using because he new I shot 200 rounds and my SS pistol was cleaner than his after 1 magazine. He was using Unique which i dislike due to its poor metering properties. WST is a ball powder...

Re: Lost my carry gun

Glad you were able to locate your gun after being mia for over a month. Handguns worry me the most when they get into the wrong hands. I keep a pretty short leash on the ones I have. Safes are a nice place to store guns but they have their drawbacks too. There never big enough it seams like. I helpe...

Re: Still hanging on

They are bad every where in Texas. All you need to do is look at all the agriculture land they tear up on a regular basis. They do not stay in one area very long as they are constantly moving. They cover a lot of ground, 2-3 miles. There is shooting around me every night. My neighbor has an FLIR set...

Re: Win 296 light load

W296/H110 does not download well at all and gets very spikey when done. This powder was designed for full power loads for the Magnums and 30 carbine. Use a different powder if you want reduced loads. TB is good as well as a few others. Most powders will be very dirty when down loaded.

Re: Still hanging on

With most of getting older I've slowed down for sure. A few other boards I visit are very slow too. Maybe 1 post a week. For me I've been busy in my new shop. Finished up a barrel for my AR and been testing it out. I've had to tweak the chamber free bore in order for some of my ammo to chamber. I th...

Re: Expanded my work shop with some new equipment

Yes, I have full range of travel with about 1 extra foot at each end. When I first moved it in I had it centered on that end, but discovered that I wasted too much valuable wall space, so I decided to move it to one side. It was a big job on moving it into the shop, a couple of neighbors helped me. ...

Re: Mystery Scratch

I don't think it will be a problem.

Wondered if something happened to the RS assembly causing it to move out of position.

Re: Expanded my work shop with some new equipment

As long as you don't sell it it's legal, for personal use. You have to put a SN on it for sale. That's why there is market for 80% receivers. I can buy a completed receiver cheaper than I can a 80% one.
