Re: Given up on the LC380

It's ben a LOOOOOOONG time since my last post, but believe it or not, I spent that time trying to fix the problem. I sent it back to Ruger again. They returned it with a note that they had done required mods and fired 26 rounds without a failure. I got to 40 before the first one, but then it became ...

I talked to Ruger a number of times and the only response I got was that a one in 50 reliability wasn't bad. I would agree if I was just shooting for fun but failure is not an option when your life is at stake! My son has a LC9 and has not had a problem. Once again I believe it has to do to the desi...

I have used a Teflon based lube for 50 years and never had a problem.
only use a very small amount. A dab on the fingertip and then spread.

It would appear that that is the case. It will usually get thru about 40 or 50 rounds before it acts up.
The fact that it is almost always the next to last round seems to have some significance, but I can't figure on anything but magazine!

Given up on the LC380

I have given up on the LC380. It has a tendency to fail to load the next to last round . This is not every magazine full but about every 50 rounds or so I will get at least one FTL! I have gone thru 3 magazines. Changed Magazine springs, changed recoil springs and nothing seems to make a difference....

It's a great little gun. I replaced my LCP with one in July and have not regretted a minute of it.
It seems to be just the right size and is Very east to shoot and is accurate as you could shoot. Now is ammo wasn't so hard to find

I'm surprised that no one mentioned the LCR. They are hammerless , lightweight and have a nice trigger.
I bought one for my wife but she can't handle the noise (believe it or not)
It is a nice shooting gun and Ruger is always good quality.

Seems like everyone so far, likes 00 buck shot or slug. It was my understanding that 00 in a small area would take out most of the wall board. I'm not a shotgun person so I have no knowledge on the subject. I do know that at the range, the other day, when I went to test fire my new Mossy 20in Persua...

Home defense Load

What do you consider the best load for in home 12 gauge.
I do not want to take down walls or necessarily dismember the bad guy.
Just good old fashion self defense!

As I recall the Auto is traditionally more accurate than the wheel gun due to the release of gas between the cylinder and the barrel of the wheel gun. This make for a variable in muzzle pressure , thus a loss of accuracy.

the RO is being used in Bullseye shooting in stock form except for some trigger work ...many shooters reporting 2'' @ 50yds Ransom Rest....... I'd like to see ANY brand's stock, non-customshop, 1911 do that on a production scale quantity :P The Range Officer, out of the box, will shoot a tighter gr...
