I have both a LCR 357 mag and a LCR22.

The more I shoot the 22 the more I like it. Makes a perfect practice gun for the 357.

You said you replaced the hammer. What hammer did you use?
Sometimes a VQ hammer causes misfires.

It's bright and shinny at first I thought it may be brass but that is not the case.

Oh well, I fixed it, cleaned and lubed it and it's going back to the owner tomorrow.

old VQ Sear ?

I'm working on an old MKII made in 1986 it is blue 5.5" slab side barrel. It belongs to a guy I work with.

The pistol has the old VQ wide trigger in it and the sear is Gold in color.
Did VQ ever make gold colored sears?

The o ring doesn't need to come off. Splatter shield is a big help if you use it B4 you shoot it.

The tac sol rail can be mounted but you have to remove the rear sight and turn the rail around. If I remember correctly you can only use two of the three holes and screws. I mounted one on a friends pistol but that was 2 years ago.

So stop shooting mini mags........

Try some CCI Blazers for another 1000 rounds or so for break in then try some more mini mags.

I am sorry to read about your troubles. In Dec I bought a new 39A as I had always wanted one and I am not getting any younger. My 39A is great, no problems so far, I only fired 300 rounds thru it due to the weather. Hopefully I got a good one. I sent a taurus model 990 revolver to taurus as it was d...

I think I would leave it in the garage, unless you are only outside for a very short period of time.

Look at the Mueller scopes. Very nice scopes for the money. They are made in China to Mueller specs. I have an APV and the APT very bright clear scopes. http://www.muelleroptics.com They also make scopes with an illuminated dot in the center of the cross hair. These are nice in that the scope works ...
