Unfortunately our elected representatives in Sacramento do anything other than represent those who voted for them. The "approved" list seems to be just another way to legislate handguns out of existence in Kalifornia. How long will it be before they try the same tactic with long arms? With my single...

My understanding is that cartridge cases generally do not need to be lubricated if using carbide dies. That's the main reason that I use carbide dies whenever possible. I also have been using brass cases exclusively as I've noted more effort is required to run a Nickel case through the same dies. I ...

Brass vs Nickel (38 Spl)
Any preference for your "match" loads? Personally I've been using Federal brass (not nickel) for my S&W Model 52-2 mostly because I have an adequate quantity of them. Received an e-mail though that suggested Remington Nickel is generally pretty uniform and has thinner walls than a lot of the other h...

Bullet Lube
Those of you that cast your own bullets for bullseye use... just wondering what you use for lube and how well satisfied you are with it. I've been using "BAC" from White Label Lube on 148gr wadcutters that I cast from scrap wheelweight. I will usually add a pound or two of linotype to each 20 pound ...

Looks like I owe Precision Delta an apology... it wasn't their bullets at all !!! Turned out to be a build-up of old waxy bullet lube (Rooster Red) that had been there for who knows how long. Then when loading the graphite coated Precision Delta bullets that plug of wax got covered with graphite mak...

Found a fly in the ointment with those Precision Delta 148gr HBWC bullets. Precision Delta uses what seems to be a wax/graphite mix for a lube. Doesn't take long for it to start building up on the seating plug thereby causing the bullet to be seated progressively deeper into the case. Didn't figure ...

Just for fun I decided to shoot the Indoor 50' league tonight with iron sights rather than my usual UltraDot MatchDot. Wow... was that ever fun !!! Think that I am going to have to do it again next week. At least I didn't totally embarrass myself like I did last week. 87, 81 and 90 Slow Fire 89-2x T...

Tue, May 18th..... Had an absolutely horrible night. Could have gotten better groups with a shotgun !!! 84, 87 and 79 slow fire 87-1x and 88 for timed and rapid. 254-1x NMC I was not impressed. Fortunately this league only allows a 3 point "average" drop any given week. Much better than dropping 12 ...
