Re: Is the Smith 41 worth the price

Thanks for the reply Bullseye. Could you expand on what you mean by it's "diet sensitive?" The reason I'm considering the 41 is because of it's grip angle (similar to the 1911). The other alternative I'm considering is the Nelson .22 conversion, because I've heard it's a good choice for Bullseye ma...

Re: Stopped short on becoming a Kimber snob

Oh, just go buy a Cabot gun. The Kimbers will cower before you, of course you'll be numb for a long time....

Re: Falling in with bad company

I have a 1950's era Win 94, in 32 win special, but I haven't shot it very much. It was a gift to me from my Dad several years back. It is in near perfect condition and I hate to take it out and possibly marr it. Sooner or later I will have to break down and give it a go. R, Bullseye I have a simila...

Camp Perry, SAF, 1st timer

Finally, it was on my bucket list. Camp Perry, Home of the National Pistol Championships. I went down for the first two days to see the Small Arms Firing school, shoot the M9 Beretta's. Then, the .22 EIC and Service pistol EIC. Then the Reeves and Distinguished revolver matches. The SAF was informat...

Just picked up an Advantage Arms conversion, because the Nelsons' were not available, and plopped it on a dedicated Remington 1911 R1 receiver. It's the locked barrel version. I'm going to foray into .22 Distinguished matches at Perry and thought I'd give it a try. A change from all the .38 spl and ...

You may find a need for more frequent field-stripping if you decide to pocket carry due to high fuzz intrusion in the inner workings. Have not heard anything from you in quite a long time - welcome back! R, Bullseye I've been avoiding those I-94 winter wrecks lol. I'm carrying the lc9s in a Galco l...

just picked up a lcp9S, I'll try and let you know how it works out. being left handed, I have no use for the safety, except for possibly holstering the gun. It appears to work well for deep front pocket carry so far. I found the complaints about dis-assembly to be a non issue. not a weapon you'd fie...

IMHO, best of the best now.

H. Seidler "Jet Loaders", then the Safariland comp III

lastly, the ubiquitous HKS 10.

open carry

Being in Michigan, which is open carry AND a cpl friendly state, I'm not a big advocate of open carry. I agree with it legally, but, see it as a billboard to those who are intent on disarming you, those gang bangers who will take it away from you when you least expect it. Since we are so cpl friendl...
