One thing to watch out for with the Sig P220 .22 conversion. Since the slide does not lock back on the last round it is easy to essentially dry fire at the end of each magazine full of ammo. This causes peaning of the breech face and will result in failures to feed and failures to eject eventually. ...

Although I am not a personal fan of them there are more Glocks shot in production division than anything else according to what I've read. I don't shoot USPSA myself although I might try some matches this summer. Our local club holds IDPA matches so that is what I shoot. As for guns I'm a big fan of...

I've definitely noticed that I'm getting older. But when does the getting wiser part start? I think I'm missing out on that.

we don't know what that limit is...
we've never reached it...
Hmmm. Maybe I'll see if I can test that limit. But I don't know if I can afford that many primers. :)

Snicker. I guess I am OK then. For now. But next time I find a source I've got to pick up a couple or three thousand more.

OK. What's a hoarder. I like to keep at least 4 or 5 thousand around. What is the hoarding threshold? I don't want to be ostracized by the Gun Talk community.

BAOM, I agree completely. I love reactive targets of any kind from clay birds to silhouettes (sp?) to steel gongs. But then I enjoy shooting at just about anything that will allow me to pull a trigger legally. I wish I was in a position to head to the range any time weather is suitable. Just a few m...

As BAOM said it is not a question of accuracy. But if the size of the dot is such that it obscures the entire bullseye at 25 yards then you will have trouble holding a consistent sight picture. For bullseye shooting a smaller dot would be preferable IMHO. For action pistol, clang and bang as BAOM ca...

Depending upon the use intended for the red dot sight pay attention to the size of the dot. Some of those sights intended for use in action pistol type shooting have a rather coarse minimum dot size. It may not be suitable for bullseye use.

I have been very happy with the Baikal IZH-46M that I purchased a couple of years ago. You can get these for about $300.00 and they are very accurate. I have been told that one can be very competitive in 10M air pistol competition with one. It is a spring cocker with an excellent trigger that is ful...

In the original post he said that the CCI SV shot without any problems but the Blazer acted up. This seems to indicate an ammo problem rather than a trigger problem. I am a big fan of the CCI SV myself. I almost went into shock this weekend when I had my first misfire with the CCI SV in over a year....

scaleman, Any time a particular bullet is zeroed in at a particular range it will cross the line of sight twice. Once on the way up and once on the way down. Remember the barrel of the gun is normally below the line of sight when sighting in. The NZ is the near zero and the FZ is the far zero. MT is...

I installed the VQ hammer along with the trigger and sear when I was doing my upgrades. I had no choice in the matter due to a butcher job by a so-called gunsmith which is documented in a thread somewhere else on this forum. I have had no problems with the hammer causing light strikes. The performan...
